Hetty caught everyone's eyes as she and her littermates were growing up. Ultimately, we felt that she would be a great representation of the breed and of our kennel, so we sold her to Ms. Jill McDonald (Dunscaith Scottish Terriers) in Australia. With the export regulations requiring dogs to wait at least 6 months prior to entering Australia upon having a rabies titer test drawn, Ms. McDonald asked us to show Hetty to help prepare her for the show ring in Oz.

Little did we know Hetty would make waves on both sides of the Pacific.

Hetty was awarded Winners Bitch for a 3-point major as a 6 month old puppy under judge Dr. Karen Ericson at the supported entry by the San Francisco Scottish Terrier Club.

In January 2017, Hetty became the fourth Bravo Scottie to go Best of Breed from the classes over specials when Dr. Hiroshi Kamisato (Japan) gave her Winners Bitch, Best Puppy, and Best of Breed from the 9-12 month class and also gave her a cut in the regular Terrier group at the San Fernando Kennel Club. Then, in February 2017, Dr. Gerry Penta awarded her Winners Bitch and Best of Breed over specials (with Rod Handling) for a 4-point major at the Silver Bay Kennel Club and the next day, with Rod at the other end of the leash again, Mr. Jay Richardson awarded Hetty Winners Bitch for her third major and finished her American Championship.

During her short time showing in the U.S., Hetty won Winners Bitch 8 times, was given Best of Breed over specials 3 times, and is our first champion out of our Bomond x Isami litter. In 2017, she earned her Australia Championship and in 2018 she was awarded both a Best In Show and a Reserve Best In Show at Australian all-breed shows and we are very excited to continue to watch this young girl's career in and out of the ring in Australia.
