A breeder's dream come true, Mona Lisa began campaigning with professional handlers Gabriel and Ivonne Rangel in March 2019 and finished her career in December 2020 as the #1 Scottie in America in Breed rankings and the #6 Terrier, including winning a total of 5 All-Breed Best In Shows and 3 Specialty wins.

In August 2019, Gabriel steered Mona Lisa to win Best of Breed at the Denver Specialty, Best of Breed at the STCA National Rotating Specialty, two Group 1s at the Greeley Kennel Club shows, an all-breed Best In Show at the Greeley Kennel Club show, and Reserve Best of the Best of Specialties held by the Greeley Kennel Club. She took our breath away time and time again, showed her little heart out, and we are forever grateful for the hard work and attention Gabriel put into preparing her for such a weekend representing our breeding program. In February 2019, she and Rod were given the only Award of Merit at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club in New York City.

Mona Lisa earned her call name by showing all the sass and attitude of the character Mona Lisa Vito in the movie "My Cousin Vinny". One of our five girls from the Bomond x Isami litter, she kept catching our eye with her strong varminty expression, attitude, tail carriage, and reach and drive. She recently completed her Bronze Grand Championship during the Mission Circuit.

At 6 months of age, Mona Lisa won her class every time she was shown during the STCA Montgomery County weekend, so we chose to let her sit out and mature while her sister Hetty worked on her American Championship prior to exporting to Australia in the Spring of 2017.

We feel that Mona Lisa carries strong attributes and features of both her mother Isami and her father Bomond and, no doubt, has her father's attitude in and out of the ring.

In Spring 2017, Mona Lisa went Best In Match at the STCC Puppy Match. A few months later, she won Best Opposite in Sweepstakes under judge Mr. Steve Russell (Woburn Scotties) at our STCC Specialty during the Great Western Terrier Association weekend. She then wowed everyone by going Winners Bitch and Best of Winners both days of Great Western (judges Ms. Peggy Beisel-McIlwaine and Mr. Joseph Vernuccio) and then went on to go Best Bred By Exhibitor in Show under judge Mrs. Candy Aron.

Mona Lisa exceeded our expectations again during Montgomery County week and was Winners Bitch and Best of Winners from the Bred By Class at the STCA Independent Specialty judged by Mr. John Constantine and in her last appearance as a "class bitch", she won the Bred By Class at the STCA National Specialty at Montgomery County under judge Mr. Kerry Lee.
